Your giving statements are ready. You can pick them up at the church. Those not picked up will be delivered next week. Here is my message in your statement!
Dear Member and Friends:
It has been a year of mixed emotions. There have been great victories and tragic losses. Over the last thirteen months we’ve said goodbye to Virginia Wirth, Melvin Bachman, Barbara Carlson and Pat Evans. These were mighty warriors and precious friends. During loss, we have celebrated the healing and on-going healing of John Tilley, Christine Griggs and Pat Wistner. Life moves on. The kingdom of God moves on. So, as we enter this New Year we are thankful for the assignments He has given, especially for the word that He gave me at 33,000 feet on a return trip from Washington D.C.
“Don’t linger. Don’t wait. We have a great adventure ahead of us. I’m taking you to places you’ve never been. I’m walking with you into the great season of your life. Don’t be afraid to let go of some things that you cherish. They have prepared you for this journey, but come on – let’s walk!” As I walked I saw a whole new set of armor placed on me (us). I don’t know how to describe it. It is brilliant in color. It glows as crystal but looks pure like gold. It is strong and impenetrable. He said, “Wherever you walk you will strengthen the land. You will release light into the atmosphere no matter how dark. There is a troop with you. You are not alone. They are armored as you are for that has been your desire. We walk together. My kingdom is here. My will is done.” He is embracing me (us) and all of His life force is encompassing me (us). Not only am I feeling strength, passion and newness but all infirmity is melting away. I breath it out from me. I speak it into the atmosphere. Holy. Beautiful. Whole. I’m (we are) to commune with Him.
For two years the Lord has directed us to 2 Chronicles 20. And now as we begin a third year, we listen again to these words:
” …and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s. 16 Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley in front of the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.” 18 Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord” (2 Chronicles 20:15-18 NASB).
Thank you for your faithfulness in supporting His vision in 2016 and for your obedience, support and courage at moving with Him, together as an army – AS ONE, into 2017.
Blessings to each of you in His Name
